Every Premier League club’s highest earners: Man City stars lead; Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal best-paid players revealed

Mohamed Salah for Liverpool, Kevin De Bruyne for Manchester City and Kai Havertz for Arsenal. TEAMtalk montage.

The Premier League continues to grow in popularity and it is unsurprisingly home to some of the highest-paid players in the world.

Every Premier League club now receives hundreds of millions in television money and average pay packets have subsequently skyrocketed in recent years.

We’ve taken a look at the top five highest-earning players from each Premier League club.

Note: we’ve not included any players who spent the 2023/24 season on loan at a Premier League side. We’ve also left out any players who are officially leaving their club on a free transfer this summer.

Arsenal’s highest-paid players

1. Kai Havertz – £280,000-per-week
2. Gabriel Jesus – £265,000-per-week
3= Declan Rice – £240,000-per-week
3= Martin Odegaard – £240,000-per-week
5. Thomas Partey – £200,000-per-week

Havertz moved across London in the summer of 2023 and got a slight pay rise, going from £250,000-per-week at Chelsea to £280,000-per-week at Arsenal.

The Germany international could earn an additional £50,000-per-week in bonuses and Odegaard’s wages reach £300,000-per-week with bonuses.

Aston Villa’s highest-paid players

1= Youri Tielemans – £150,000-per-week
1= Boubacar Kamara – £150,000-per-week

While Villa didn’t have to pay a transfer fee for Tielemans or Kamara, they both signed lucrative contracts and are earning £150,000-a-week in wages.

Watkins has been instrumental to Villa’s success under Unai Emery and signed a new contract in October 2023, which took his wages from £75,000-per-week to £130,000-per-week.

Bournemouth’s highest-paid players

1. Justin Kluivert – £80,000-per-week

Bournemouth are now owned by American billionaire Bill Foley, and they handed out big contracts to Kluivert and Adams in the summer of 2023.

Sinisterra was earning £65,000-per-week at Leeds United and his loan move at Bournemouth has now been turned into a permanent deal.

Brentford’s highest-paid players

3. Bryan Mbeumo – £45,000-per-week
4= Kristoffer Ajer – £40,000-per-week
4= Frank Onyeka – £40,000-per-week

Brentford are widely regarded to be among the best-run and most financially sustainable clubs in England and it’s easy to see why.

They have a tightly controlled wage bill and Ivan Toney – who has been linked with Tottenham and Manchester United – is earning just £20,000-per-week.

Brighton’s highest-paid players

1= Lewis Dunk – £80,000-per-week

After Adam Lallana was released at the end of the 2023/24 season, Dunk and Mitoma are now the highest-paid players at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Romelu Lukaku was also earning £325,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge, but he took a pay cut before his loan move to Roma in 2023.

Crystal Palace’s highest-paid players

1= Michael Olise – £100,000-per-week
1= Eberechi Eze – £100,000-per-week

4. Odsonne Edouard – £90,000-per-week
5= Nathaniel Clyne – £80,000-per-week
5= Joachim Andersen – £80,000-per-week

After rejecting a move to Chelsea in the summer of 2023, Olise stayed at Palace and was given a new four-year contract worth £100,000-per-week.

TEAMtalk understands that Palace are looking to offload one of their highest earners this summer as Edouard has been put up for sale.

Everton’s highest-paid players

1. Abdoulaye Doucoure – £130,000-per-week
2. Jordan Pickford – £125,000-per-week

3= James Tarkowski – £100,000-per-week
3= Dele Alli – £100,000-per-week

Everton’s financial problems have been well-documented but they still have six first-team players who are earning £100,000-per-week or more.

Dele has only managed 13 appearances in all competitions since joining the Toffees in January 2022, and he is out of contract at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Fulham’s highest-paid players

1. Bernd Leno – £130,000-per-week

4= Joao Palhinha – £80,000-per-week
4= Alex Iwobi – £80,000-per-week

Leno signed a new long-term contract with Fulham in December 2023, which increased his salary by £40,000-per-week.

Jimenez is the second highest-paid player at Craven Cottage but his contract also includes another £20,000-per-week in potential bonuses.

5= Dennis Praet – £75,000-per-week
5= Wilfred Ndidi – £75,000-per-week
5= Patson Daka – £75,000-per-week

Vardy helped Leicester City secure an immediate return to the Premier League in 2023/24 and is now in talks over a contract extension.

The 37-year-old striker is well-remunerated for his 12 years of service at the King Power Stadium, taking home a weekly salary of £140,000.

4= Ryan Gravenberch – £150,000-per-week
4= Alexis Mac Allister – £150,000-per-week

Salah signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool in 2022 and his wages went from £200,000-per-week to £350,000-per-week, making him the highest-paid player in the club’s illustrious history.

But that pales in comparison to the £2.45million-a-week wage that Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal are reportedly willing to offer the Egypt international.

Manchester City’s highest-paid players

1. Kevin De Bruyne – £400,000-per-week
2. Erling Haaland – £375,000-per-week
3= Jack Grealish – £300,000-per-week

He’s closely followed by teammate Haaland, who also has a series of bonuses in his contract that could see his weekly wage surge beyond the £850,000 mark.

Manchester United’s highest-paid players

3= Jadon Sancho – £250,000-per-week
3= Mason Mount – £250,000-per-week
5. Bruno Fernandes – £240,000-per-week

United had the highest wage bill in the Premier League in 2023/24, but they are looking to offload some of their biggest earners.

Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial have already left the club on free transfers, while Casemiro and Sancho have both been linked with moves away from Old Trafford.

Newcastle United’s highest-paid players

1. Bruno Guimaraes – £160,000-per-week
2. Joelinton – £150,000-per-week
3= Alexander Isak – £120,000-per-week
3= Kieran Trippier – £120,000-per-week
5. Matt Targett – £100,000-per-week

Guimaraes is the highest-paid player at Newcastle and his contract includes clauses that could take his wage up to £200,000-per-week.

Sandro Tonali signed a £120,000-per-week deal at Newcastle, but he took a voluntary pay cut after being handed a 10-month ban for gambling breaches.

“It was something he wanted to do,” Eddie Howe said. “He felt the guilt, and he felt that joining a new club it was something he wanted to show the club, in good faith, that he was sorry and was determined to put it behind him and try to learn from it.”

Nottingham Forest’s highest-paid players

1= Morgan Gibbs-White – £80,000-per-week
1= Chris Wood – £80,000-per-week
5. Ibrahim Sangare – £75,000-per-week

There is a four-way tie to be Forest’s highest earner as Gibbs-White, Felipe, Wood and Hudson-Odoi are all on £80,000-per-week.

Sangare, who joined Forest from PSV in a £30million deal in the summer of 2023, follows closely behind with a £75,000-per-week contract.

Southampton’s highest-paid players

1. Joe Aribo – £70,000-per-week
3. Jan Bednarek – £60,000-per-week
3. Adam Armstrong – £55,000-per-week
4. Alex McCarthy – £50,000-per-week
5. Jack Stephens – £45,000-per-week

Southampton had the second-highest wage bill in the Championship in 2023/24 and they secured promotion via the play-offs.

Aribo arrived from Rangers in 2022 and is currently the highest-paid player at the club, but he’s struggled to establish himself as a first-team starter.

Tottenham’s highest-paid players

1. Son Heung-min – £190,000-per-week
2. James Maddison – £170,000-per-week
3. Timo Werner – £165,000-per-week
4. Cristian Romero – £165,000-per-week
5. Dejan Kulusevski – £110,000-per-week

Following Harry Kane’s move to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023, Son Heuing-min is now the highest-paid player at Tottenham.

Spurs will cover Werner’s £165,000-per-week wages once again in 2024/25 after they agreed to extend his loan deal from RB Leipzig.

1. Lucas Paqueta – £150,000-per-week

4= Alphonse Areola – £120,000-per-week
4= Jarrod Bowen – £120,000-per-week

West Ham broke their transfer record to sign Paqueta in 2022 and they also shelled out a significant pay packet, handing him a £150,000-per-week contract.

But the Brazil international could be facing a lengthy ban after being charged with spot-fixing offences in four Premier League matches.

3. Hee-chan Hwang – £70,000-per-week
4= Matheus Cunha – £60,000-per-week
4= Daniel Podence – £60,000-per-week

Sarabia arrived at Wolves with some serious pedigree, having played for Real Madrid, Sevilla, Sporting CP and Paris Saint-Germain.

The Spain international was handed a £90,000-per-week contract in the summer of 2022, but he’s struggled to justify those wages.
