Tottenham: Fabio Paratici prepares for new manager arrival by offering four stars to AC Milan in massive deal

Tottenham director of football Fabio Paratici is getting ready to work with a new head coach and has reportedly offered four players to AC Milan to streamline the squad.

On Tuesday, The Athletic reporter Jack Pitt-Brooke revealed how the Antonio Conte era at Tottenham will soon come to an end. Conte and the north London side held talks over a new contract before the World Cup, but those discussions have since halted.

Instead, the Italian looks set to leave Tottenham when his contract expires in the summer.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has decided on a return for Mauricio Pochettino being the best option. The Argentine still lives in England, has a good relationship with Levy and plays an exciting style of football which fans are crying out for.

Paratici is opposed to the move, as he believes the squad is better equipped for a manager who plays with a back three, just like Conte. Thomas Tuchel is one such option.

However, Levy is likely to get his away as he has far more control than Paratici. As such, the latter must prepare for life alongside Pochettino and get the squad ready for his arrival.

Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio has detailed a meeting Paratici had with AC Milan in the 2022 summer transfer window. He was desperate to offload four Spurs players, only for two of them to remain at the club and the other two to join different sides on loan.

However, Paratici is likely to be put in the same predicament this summer. And there is now the possibility of as many as four players swapping Spurs for Milan at the end of the current campaign.

Fabio Paratici wants rid of four Spurs players

Di Marzio claims Japhet Tanganga is the first player who will be offered to the Italian giants. He ended up staying at Spurs this season, despite Paratici trying his hardest to get the defender to go elsewhere.

Tanganga has only managed five appearances under Conte this term. And with things unlikely to get any better under Pochettino, it would make sense if he left.

Milan could offer him more regular game time and a chance to get his career back on track. The 23-year-old was highly rated when he first got into the Spurs senior squad, but he has since slid into obscurity.

Milan will be given the chance to land left-back Sergio Reguilon, too. He is currently on loan at Atletico Madrid, though their manager Diego Simeone has no plans to sign him permanently. They are already looking at alternative left-backs they can bring in.

Reguilon will return to Spurs in the summer. Ivan Perisic and Ryan Sessegnon will likely prevent him from getting into the team under Pochettino. As with Tanganga, a Milan switch could be enticing for Reguilon due to his recent struggles.

Tanguy Ndombele is another player whom Paratici will try to find a solution for, potentially through Milan. The midfielder has not done enough to join loan club Napoli on a permanent basis.

And the final player set to be offered to Milan is young midfielder Pape Sarr. Unlike the previous three, however, Sarr will only be offered to Milan on loan as Spurs believe he has a good future ahead of him.

Paratici is clearly trying to use Milan as a sort of dumping ground for players he does not think can make an impact under Pochettino. But Milan will probably turn their noses up at a couple of them due to their recent performances.

It looks set to be a busy summer for Paratici both in terms of incomings and outgoings. According to Wednesday’s Transfer Gossip, Spurs have begun chasing a Premier League defender.
