Liverpool, Arsenal battle Italian giants for €6m goalkeeping sensation
Liverpool and Arsenal are battling a Serie A duo for the signing of a Ukranian starlet, according to the latest reports.
Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Inter Milan and Juventus will rival the Premier League duo for goalkeeper Andriy Lunin.
Inter’s current first choice Samir Handanovic will turn 34 in July and the club are looking for a long-term replacement, while Juventus may be eyeing the same considering Gianluigi Buffon’s impending retirement.
Lunin, who is 19 and plays for Ukranian side FC Zorya Luhansk, recently broke into the Ukraine national team when he started a friendly against Saudi Arabia.
The report claims that Inter are the most seriously interested at this point, and that the teenager’s current price tag is estimated to be around €6million.
